VISION

Salt Lake Community College Motorcycle Rider Training Program: The program will become the premier comprehensive lifelong learning provider for motorcycle riders in Utah.

MISSION

Salt Lake Community College Motorcycle Rider Training Program is a public, open-access, comprehensive motorcycle rider education provider, serving the riding community in Utah. Its mission is to provide quality lifelong learning in motorcycle safety, to students of diverse cultures, abilities, and ages, while fulfilling the needs of community and government agencies, businesses, and motorcycle industry, using curriculum established by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and the State of Utah.

VALUES

The Salt Lake Community College Motorcycle Rider Training Program fulfills its mission by working as a cohesive team toward the following values:
Offer basic rider education training using adult learning and motivational techniques
Offer lifelong learning opportunities to Utah’s riding community
Maintain an environment committed to rider safety through creative teaching methods to further enhance rider safety in Utah
Create complementary relationships with community organizations, businesses, and the Motorcycle Safety Foundation in support of rider training

I thought all of the instructors knew the material very well. All were very clear and made sure everyone understood the expectations. I thought the coaching was great. They were always positive in their feedback and gave constructive criticism. A very good class for someone who has never attempted to ride a motorcycle.
